Last week I checked in there after dark. Turned on the light in the assigned room, and no less than 10, 2 inch cockroachs went scurrying... including a couple actually ON THE BED!! I never got around to writing up the full ride report going to the West Coast.I think part of it was that we cheated. Once we got to the edge of Ft. Myers, we said, "We get enough urban riding on the East Coast, so let's end it while it was fun."After spending the night in Ft. Myers, we did ride the last five miles of so to the beach so we could say we went from Atlanta Ocean to the Gulf.Let me look at my GPS tracks and I'll email you some hints. Here’s a page that has routing around the lake and to the East Coast. I never got around to writing up the full ride report going to the West Coast.

I think part of it was that we cheated. Once we got to the edge of Ft. Myers, we said, “We get enough urban riding on the East Coast, so let’s end it while it was fun.”

After spending the night in Ft. Myers, we did ride the last five miles of so to the beach so we could say we went from Atlanta Ocean to the Gulf.

Let me look at my GPS tracks and I’ll email you some hints. There’s some nice riding on the west side of the lake. I think you’ll enjoy it.

I have a map of the ACA Florida Connector route. I was planning on riding south from my house and pick it up then continue on to the LOST - do a loop - then ride back. Total distance is about 330 miles. Maps of LOST show plenty of primitive campsites around it and that's my plan. Have you been there recently? Any advice on it?
